About Spirit of Hope

We are called by God to be a radically inclusive, caring community of faith offering personal and social transformation though Jesus Christ.

As a theologically progressive and radically inclusive congregation, the life of Spirit of Hope rises out of its rich rootedness in an ongoing Wesleyan practice of the interweaving of scripture, tradition, reason and experience. Not contained within any creed, but open and constantly challenged to look back and ahead, to listen within and reach out to the world, the members and friends of Spirit of Hope are called by God to bring the healing peace of Christ, the hopeful power of the Spirit, and the renewing promise of God’s own presence into every moment and mission.

Our Vision

Lifelong Learning

Spirit of Hope will become a widely renowned progressive Christian community that ignites in people of all ages a lifelong passion for learning and growing in mind, body, and spirit; empowering people to freely question, think critically about, and adapt to an ever-changing world.

Radical Welcoming

As radically welcoming progressive Christians, we at Spirit of Hope will seek opportunities for healing, justice, inclusion, service, dialogue, peace, and invitation within our church, our community, and our world.

Celebration of Life

Spirit of Hope will be a community that celebrates all lives by offering spiritual opportunities to share gifts through fellowship, music, food and art.
