Giving (financially) at Spirit of Hope
As a member of Spirit of Hope, we ask that you share your three T’s – Time, Talent, and Treasure. There are many options available for financially supporting the missions and administration of our church.
Annual Pledge ~ Spirit of Hope’s G.I.F.T. Team encourages all members to make an annual pledge to our church. The acronym G.I.F.T. stands for Growing in Faith Together. Spirit of Hope’s 2016 stewardship campaign is “Growing in Faith Together: Sowing Seeds for a Rich Harvest.” We invite you to prayerfully prepare for that future, and for the good work we’ll do together. Make an Annual Pledge via turning in your pledge card to the church office. Pledges can be fulfilled via in-plat offerings, by using Electronic Funds Transfers, or by setting up an online giving account.
Electronic Funds Transfers (aka – the Tried & True method) – Spirit of Hope utilizes and Automated Clearing House (ACH) service to allow you to support the church using Electronic Funds Transfer. You will need to complete a form available in the church office. The form allows the church to automatically debit your checking or savings account. You will need to include a voided check. These materials should be turned in to the church office for processing. Note to members currently using this service: If you make changes to your Annual Pledge, you need to submit an updated form to the church office. Electronic Funds Transfer Form (pdf)
OnLine Giving – A NEW option! – For your convenience, Spirit of Hope now has an option for giving through the Spirit of hope website (www.spiritofhopeumc.org). From the homepage, go to the upper right hand corner and click on “Online Giving.” Establish an account. Then set up your weekly/monthly/annual transactions. One-time donations are also an option. Please consider: To help the church (and you) avoid credit card or debit fees, set up your giving as a bank payment instead of a credit card transaction.
Use your mobile device – if you access the website on your mobile device, on the Online Giving web page there is a click in the upper right hand corner “View Mobile Device.” or scan the QR code on the electronic giving pew card.
Text donations can be made to 763-392- 7545. Enter the donation amount with $ (dollar sign) -minimum $3.00.
Lobby Kiosk – expected launch 2016.
AmazonSmile – is a simple and automatic way for you to support Spirit of Hope every time you shop online. There is no additional cost to you. Register at smile.amazon.com. It will take you to your Amazon account, and you can choose Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church as an organization to support. When you first register, you will be asked for the organization you want to support. After registering, your Amazon Smile account comes up and under the search box will be a line “Support” showing Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church (NOTE: There are two Spirit of Hope churches in the U.S., so make sure you selected “Golden Valley.”) For may purchases 0.5% will be donated to SOH.
And finally … Offerings of cash or checks are always graciously accepted.
