Good Neighbor Fund
Spirit of Hope’s Good Neighbor Fund provides assistance in many different forms. Right now, Spirit of Hope is taking faithful action to support communities impacted by ICE activity.
In partnership with other United Methodist churches in our area, we are providing practical, compassionate assistance to families who are afraid to leave their homes.
The work is already underway. Groceries have been purchased and delivered to families who are unable to shop safely. Because many people are unable to go to work and have been given rent assistance. These needs often come to our attention through personal relationships.
Every act of grace matters. Every meal delivered and every bill paid is a blessing. But the reality is that these needs will not disappear overnight. To continue this work faithfully, we must become more organized so these efforts can be sustained over time.
Here’s how you can help:
Financial support: Please give online or, if dropping off funds in person or via mail, designate your donation to the Good Neighbor Fund.
For those you know in need: If you are aware of individuals or families who could benefit from our support, contact the church.
Volunteer: You can serve as a shopper or delivery helper. Purchase groceries and bring them to a local church for distribution, and Spirit of Hope will reimburse you for the cost of groceries.
Pray: Please pray both for families living in fear, as well as wisdom and protection for those offering help.
Together, we live out our call to love our neighbors, to be a refuge in fearful times, and to turn compassion into action. Thank you for being part of this ministry of hope.
